Finnish Masters is a championship series of select Finnish NAF sanctioned tournaments. Attending the tournaments will give points to wellperforming coaches for Finnish Masters standings and the champion will be crowned in the end of the season!
As of 2025 Finnish Masters will also be a NAF Structured series.

History of the Finnish Masters
Tournament series started in 2019 with 6 tournaments and 3 best results counting towards the title. Tournaments started with cooperation with SCAM – scandinavian masters, but the cooperation dwindled down during the covid-19 period. After the pandemic the Finnish Blood Bowl scene grew and there were more tournaments organized annually. The series has slowly grown to 8 tournaments per year and the best 4 results counting towards the title. At the moment 8 tournaments fit the calendar nicely and can be spread pretty evenly with a possibility to fit one more tournament into the series once a new big tournament is introduced. New cities have joined the organizer circle and we have a healthy boom of new tournaments and demo events planned for the future.
Scheduling
Early on the season was scheduled to start with the JMG Open in November/December which was usually after Eurobowl/Worldcup and ended with the Mökkibowl, which was on the other end the last tournament before next Eurobowl/Worldcup. This off-calendar year system had it’s perks as the finale of the series was always before the biggest global tournament of the year. In 2025, with the introduction of the first ever Finnish Nationals tournament and officially registered as NAF structured tournament series, the Finnish Masters season will start in January with Oulu BB Open and end in November with OMG Open.
Organization
Jopotzuki started as the first organizer in 2019, taking care of the planning and tallying up the scores. Rules discussed and developed in the tournament gatherings and discussions in tournament aftermaths. In 2023 N3Rk helped out with scoring system and with founding of the Blood Bowl Finland association, it was reasonable to move the responsibilities under it’s care. N3Rk re-drafted the rules for 2024 season with feedback from Jopotzuki and Board members of the Association. The previous discussions, notes and rules were used to compile a little bit more structured and detailed ruleset. In 2024 a Finnish Championship workcrew was founded to oversee the series and plan out its development with scoring and ruling so for 2025 the newly found workcrew tuned the rules a bit further with future in mind.
